Position Overview:
First American Convenience Store is hiring Cashier / Fuel Attendants to provide outstanding customer service while supporting both in-store and fuel operations. This position is responsible for processing transactions, assisting customers at the fuel pumps, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.
We’re looking for dependable team members who enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in delivering friendly, efficient service both inside the store and at the fuel islands.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner
  • Operate cash registers and accurately process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions
  • Assist customers with fuel purchases, pump operations, and general questions
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
  • Stock shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
  • Keep fuel pumps, fuel islands, and surrounding outdoor areas clean and free of debris
  • Monitor fuel pumps and report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards
  • Assist customers with basic services such as cleaning windshields, and providing information about products and services when requested
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Assist in monitoring the store and fuel area and report suspicious activity or safety concerns
  • Balance cash drawers and report discrepancies to management
  • Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient operations
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous cashier, retail, customer service, or fuel station experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to accurately handle cash and payment transactions
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and fuel handling practices is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
